Not looking my best ..
... and neither was I after getting caught in another hefty squall. A rather battered blue tit. I liked the background when I took it, but maybe its all a bit too yellow ... not sure?

Comments appreciated as always.

No I think that BG suits it just fine Dave.
I do find the mossy perch just looks a bit strange though and competes for the center of attention.
If you take some off the bottom that would lessen that effect and then hopefully the main subject will take over.

Good point Major. This was an alternative shot that maybe addresses it?

Hi Dave,

lovely shot and great background :toast:

I prefer the second shot as the perch is less dominant

Prefer the second version although the BG comes through too yellow on my monitor.

Well Dave I prefer the first, but would even out the darker areas top lhs. The colours are more natural because they are muted, the second version is rather too vibrant.

I like the background colour, "take-two" is the better shot in my view, it has better lighting and overall has a sharper look!

Prefer the second, it is very nice, but the background does seem a little vivid. :toast:

Second shot for me as regards composition/perch etc. It looks to me as if the background has caught a bit of sun for the second shot which has brightened it up somewhat.
