You could always just call it "Really freakin' cool shot"

Meh, whatever. Iowa's prettier than this. HA!
Man, this is sweet, Jeremy. I think the alpenglow on the peaks and the colors in the sky are a little too saturated, but everything else about this sure works for me.

This is beautiful. I love the contrast between the softness of the grass and the hardness of the rocks and mountain. I think your composition is great, too - My eye easily goes from the foreground boulder to the log, then the tree, etc. Nice light and color.
Maybe a touch too much as Todd says, but it sure does have impact. While we may ask for more natural looking stuff around here, I bet it will sell just fine.
I think you guys are right, I did plus seven saturation for the web version, because I always seem to loose saturation in the web conversion process, that was just to much......
Spent some time in here a few years back with a 4x5. We ended up going up the drainage to the right, staying overnight at the pond, and then up to the divide. It's just as dramatic up there to. One beautiful place and you have photographed it well. Nice work Jeremy.
Yeah I think its one of my favorite spots. Cowen's one of the last main peaks in the Absaroka side of paradise valley that I have to camp on top of. Hoping to sometime this spring. Me and a buddy usually spend a week camped out here every spring and dink around climbing and skiing. Would you be down this summer for a backpacking trip back here?
Gosh, I would really like to Jeremy. I'm dealing with some physical problems that I hope clear up by this summer. Bad back and feet, a lot of it probably from carrying around all that 4x5 gear and old age lol. Regardless, I want to get together sometime. You ever get up to right side of this, the toes are pretty cool looking. One of the most awesome views of the Mount Cowen formation is from the East Fork of the West Boulder. Looks like beetle kill got some of those trees since I been in there.

Very pleasing image. I agree with the earlier comment about being a bit over saturated, but I think it is not over the top. Have one in landscape mode as well as this one should sell nicely? Well done.
Love the iamge. For those of us seriously in the learning mode, would love to know some of the specs associated with the image (camera, lens, settings) Thanks

This is wonderful! Great comp, sky, and colors, although I'm in agreement with the other folks about the saturation. Nice work.
Sweet!! I think you should brighten the sky (midtones) slightly (and the mountain very slightly burned--the alpenglow should be significantly brighter than the peak)--if youve ever used TKs masks nowz the time--the lights should be brought up. Once the balance is corrected, the sat will not be an issue--it just looks oversturated due to the exposure issue, IMHO.
Great shot Jeremy! I like the compositional balance of the peak and the foreground rock. The lush foreground is really nice. Looks like an incredible basin. I've got to get up there sometime.

Great shot! I too appreciate everyones comment. Even though it's not my photo I learned alot from the comments. It looks like an awesome place to play. Any fish in the pond :)
Here is another version with a little less red and hopefully a tad brighter. I had cropped that first one, now I'm not so sure on the crop. So here it is without the crop as well.
Dean, hope your able to resolve your health issues, that doesn't sound like any fun. We should definitely get a hold of each other sometime this summer.
Byran this is actually two vertical imaged stitched. (couldn't quite get everything I wanted in the shot so I opted for the stitch) I used a 2 stop soft grad, along with a little bit of exposure blending, and another exposure with a slightly closer focus point for the grass. All at f11.
Jack, you most definitely do. I actually finally got my splitboard setup put together and tested it out this weekend. Those Sparks are awesome, thanks for the recommendation!
I think I do like the third one best. Looks more natural. I love this place, I just wish I had gotten better pics of it when I was up there. I'll post one up sometime soon and see what you think.
