Thought I would put this in the PNW forum also since this was taken in the Columbia River Gorge a few weeks ago when I was visiting my daughters, I live in SoCal. This was also in the ESS gallery. Thanks Scott Smorra for pointing out the name of the falls. Thanks for looking
Not bad IMHO either. The image, especially the lichen does have a yellow cast to it. I was here this last Sunday and the falls was just absolutly ripping. I couldn't get close enough to get a good shot because the mist.
Nice take on this. I've shot this falls a number of times, and between its height (need a 10-20mm if using a crop body) and its mist and the people in torquoise or purple jackets at the switchback across the river, I've never gotten one I was happy with. It never occurred to me to go to a longer focal length and make it more abstract. Nice thinking...

Very nice comp. Most photos of this falls are vertical renditions of this very tall falls. I generally find the lichen somewhat distracting in those photographs. However, your tight crop of the falls and your comp of the lichen makes for a very interesting photograph. I feel like the lichen are almost the main subject, rather than the falls. Very nice.

Beautiful photo Danny. I like this one more each time I see it.
GO figure.... someone not familiar with LT Falls makes a great image!
And this is a wonderful image. We locals usually..like to take in too much of LT falls. You used some good comp. to take an image that the locals usually( me included) pass by!.
Just happened to be surfing around when I came upon this. At first I thought hmmm showing some Fall work. Then all of a sudden it hit me it was lichen on the walls and the tree was bare of foilage. Great and interesting image.
