Reed Bunting
Difficult one with half sun and shade. Afternoon sun.
Maybe the lichen is a bit overpowering but that was the real perch - not a setup.

Highly detailed BOAS
don't ya just love contrasty light situations?
You've done well to hold it all though

I love the lichen and the bird's not bad as well.  Excellent image even if it is a BOAS.

We have a lot of birds in this country that are best appreciated in a photograph, because they look so dull as they zip past. This is one that has some lovely shades in its plumage as did that hen pheasant you put up recently. two fine shots.

That's a cracking little portrait and I think because the brighter light is at the head end it works very nicely.

This is one of the nicest (can I use that word?) Reed Bunting images I have seen. I think the evening light works very well. Oh and its not green

Superb! I agree with eric about needing to see these photographed - the female is one of my favourite small birds.

I think the 'perch' works rather well!

It leads my eye bottom right to top left, then it naturally jumps over to the birds eye and down again.

I like it very much!
