Prairie Sun Halo
This partial sun-halo (I think that's the proper term) was photographed during the winter of 2008 NE of Council Grove, Kansas.

Shooting into the sun made hard shadows which I processed out.

Opinions on the darkness of the photo?

Thanks,

The fisch

Cannot decide if I like it or if the color distracts-the darkness is ok. I kinda think this scene in high key mono might be a winner, but that would not really work with the color.

Maybe a square crop would bring out the circular halo......

I thought this was a moonlight shot at first, interesting effect. Cropping the cluttter off the bottom might help some too.

Interesting shot Larry. Like Taylor I thought this was a moonlight shot at first. Darkness looks ok to me, the bank on the right side maybe could use a touch of darkness in the shadows for me.
