I apolgize for not getting a new topic out here earlier this week. Been just a tad busy.
For this month I want to see some of the TERRIFIC Dramatic weather that we can expect as Spring is upon us here in the Rocky Mountain States. I am really jones-in to get out and do some storm chasin and maybe even getting some dust off of my camera for a change.
Depending on how things go we may keep this topic around for May also.

Not even close to Amy's tornado shots, this one is more in the "strange" category.

July hailstorm on Trail Ridge Road. The road was covered with an inch of hail within about 15 minutes. The storm moved in so fast that I barely made it back to the car. A spectacular, but rather scary place to be. More noise than that evening's fireworks display in town.

Taken during a severe thunderstorm. This image of "Mammatus" clouds (spelling?) was shown on "Weather Warriors" segment of "The Weather Channel". :)

Some nice storm light images here. Adding one I got last summer as I drove to Las Vegas from Grand Canyon. I couldnt convince my wife to stop and photograph, but she did drive so I could photograph out the passenger window. I know its crooked but I thought it worked with the movement.

Always a pleasure to see what folks have come up with for the monthly theme. I actually considered revisiting this area in similar condiitons, but have worried that the roads wouldn't allow my egress.

Few storms make me want to pack up my tent and run out of the backcountry. This was one of them ... although what you see is just the beginning of a June thunderstorm in the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness. It was a dark and stormy night ...
Hi first time posting on here. I couldn't figure out how to post the picture so here's the link: http://vsop4me.smugmug.com/Landscapes/Storms/Mushroom-Formation/881099114_D8aDp-XL.jpg
I took this shot this week from Perry Road right after sunset using a 3 stop Grad filter.
These are all really great. They show the wide range of weather we have here this time of year.
This was taken south of Franktown, June 5,2010. There's a place that CDOT sets up portable scales to catch truckers avoiding the scales at Monument. It's a great place to see the front range and storms out east.

Which image are you submitting for the monthly theme?. Your link opens with the first image in the gallery.

Here is another far less dramatic shot from me.
Pikes Peak from Divide ... sunset and storm ...
Here's my contribution - storm clouds looming over Mount Herard this past January.
Took this shot at Pawnee Natl Grasslands when I was out chasing storm clouds one day this week.
