Playing around with shadows and light and lines at bottle beach state park. But, could be anywhere couldnt it? Anyway. The boy and myself got there a few hours before sunset, waited for it and left during it without taking a picture of the beautiful sunset we had. Billy said 'Were leaving????' Then we bought chicken in Aberdeen and its still an hour and fifteen minutes to home. We sufferd with the aroma though out the car. Well, we ate one bisquit. If you ever go through Montesano Wa., be sure to stop at the bee hive restraunt for razor clams and steamed broccoli and home made wild blackberry pie. It was closed so we 'settled' for chicken. But your critiques and comments about the picture are appreciated for sure!

Sounds like fun. I like this shot very much. If I cock my head, I like it even more as a vertical, but that's pretty conventional isn't it. The intimacy and subject matter are easy on the eye and still interesting. Lighting is great. As a horizontal, is abstracted nicely.

I think Catherine's on to something, Cliff. I really like the landscape, but the vertical is an even stronger, more impactful image. Either one works. I like how you've used the low angled light to show the texture and shadows. Well done.
