Something a little different. This kite had just scooped some meat from the surface of a lake and is checking to see it succeeded. Conditions were a little contrasty and more eye contact would have been nice but I like this well enough.

Hi Tim,I went to this place too last week with Ken, but like you have mentioned it was a little contrasty and i was unable to get lucky as you have done here, love the pose and composition, big well done
Despite the contrasty light you have done really well. The bird is well exposed and the composition works. Its a shame about the eye contact as you mention but you have the prayer like feet and some water droplets which all help tell the story.
I like it alot.

Its nice to see a different kind of backgroud to the Red Kite shots we usally see, and I think this as worked really well and makes for a very nice scene. The pose is fine for me and those water drops really help to show the Kite as just picked something up.

Interesting behaviour, and nice to see a change from the norm

Very nice indeed and even more so with the prevailing conditions.
