Norfolk Stonechat + repost

Am off to Norfolk next week, so to get me in the mood.

Taken just after dawn last year, great little poseurs these.....

1DMKIII, 500mm, iso400, 1/1000

Nice lighting Graham but it looks a bit soft on this works monitor. Looks as if it is a big crop perhaps?

As mentioned by Robert, the image appears to be a little soft which is a shame since the light and comp work really well. My only other thought is it would have been nice to have captured the bird looking right, while placing it on the left - this would have allowed the light to rake across the bird's face and avoid the blocking up of the black plumage.

Definitely an improvement Graham.

Looks better to me Graham too. The sharpening just lifts the eye and beak and makes them the key focal point.

Repost is much better.

Nicely done, the repost is much improved. Just one more nit, you have what looks like a dust spot above right of the bird.
