Photographed from my front garden hide.A variation from the woodpecker set up.
Canon 1D Mk11N,300+1.4 canon lens,1/500 f5.6 and iso400.
Thanks for looking.
I liked your woodpecker image Phil but this one is just a bit too busy for my taste. The extra piece of larch on the LHS seems particularly surplus to requirements.

Love everything about it. The comp and colours are great.

Agree with Robert about the lh larch, otherwise a lovely pose.

a lovely shot but would crop some of the left hand side off
Hi Phil, just a bit busy for me, I think the key is to keep it simple and 'authentic', if you know what I mean.
'Less is more', personally I would lose the left & far right branches as they really do very little and have something set behind in the BG diffused enough, but to add variety to the BG, avoiding the classic 'studio' shot they we see so often with garden birds.

I think Steve has it all about right on this one.. Keep up the good work through as I'm liking the larch environment.

Lovely detail in the bird and the branch where it is perched.
I would crop the larch from the left and remove the larch on the right personally.

Hi Phil,
I actually like this as it is, looks very natural to me, nicely done!
Cheers,
Lewis.
I like the red dots, good contrast to the colors of the bird
