A slightly different image taken at one of the local Lek sites. This bird decided to sit just adjacent to my hide to display and preen. I have a few different images in mind this year so hopefully I'll get some nice light early on to get that shutter speed up.
Always think of Bence Máté when I see these, think I know where this is?
Just a thought, but is there any more room on the rhs? If so, could it be cropped at the lh edge of the white peaked feather and have a tad more room on the rhs? Good detail as usual.
cheers
Steve

Hi Simon,
Thats a cracker! Love it! The angle of the head is what makes it for me.
I found the first image confusing to the eye, the second one makes sense and is a fine shot.

Very original treatment, and a fabulous result (especially the second posting).
Works very well Simon, I really like your take on this well photographed species. Being ultra picky I'd like a little more DoF to render the beak sharper. That said, it is still a fine image.
