Pied-billed Grebe (Podilymbus podiceps), Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, Washingon, USA
Canon 7D, 300 f/2.8L, 1/200sec@f/2.8, ISO 400.
Christopher Mitchell posted an image of a Pied-billed Grebe from Ridgefield. I think this might be the same one. I caught him/her a couple of weeks ago. I like the head position on this image. Comments and critiques appreciated.

Really nice capture of this grebe David. I like the comp. head down and beautiful reflection and water.
In volunteering at Ridgefield I've noticed a pair of grebes in the first slough next to the road on the right. They have been there for 3 weeks, relatively use to the cars so anyone headed over might look for some good photo ops of the them. Love the capture!
