Big Basin
I made it out to Big Basin, in SW Kansas on Saturday. There is a small herd of bison on the preserve, and they cooperated nicely late in the evening by moving down into the basin itself. 7D, ISO 200, f/11, 1/200, 170mm with circular polarizer. Lots of fun using a polarizer on a lens with a rotating front :).

Nice Rob! The bison really make this shot and I think it is nicely composed. I've really got to get out to this area someday.

Very nice. I always like when you can find bison out on the great plains.

That makes me anxious to get out there again, Rob, one of my favorite places. I don't think I've ever seen the Bison down in the basin like this. They are interesting to watch. Unlike cattle that just graze in one place all day, the Bison seem to be always on the move, even grazing while walking.

Nice evening shot of the basin. I just hope it starts raining soon though so things can green up. Between the heat and wind, we are about bone dry here now.
