Not a bad shot David but I feel that the lighting looks a bit too unrealistic as most of it is coming from below and not above as with sunlight! Interesting technique. :toast:

Beautiful shot, David. Since it is clearly a studio shot designed to capture the best features of these delicate plants, I guess the location of the lighting was chosen to light up the "bell"of the flower. Thanks for providing all the software detail on how you processed the four images it took to produce this one shot. My patience wouldn't last long enough to go through such a process! :toast: :toast: :toast:

Superbly executed as usual David. I'm with Tom on this in that I cannot see me ever having the patience or skill to do these 'stacking' images.

Hello David.

Great use of LED lights to great effect and I think it as work really well.

I've been using a single LED on some of macro shots for a couple of years now but in day light conditions and they really are useful things.

Thanks folks for your comments. :wavey:

Guy,

For outdoor LED use I was looking at these.

alternatively a deep cycle battery, inverter and my existing LED lighting would be a more costly and bulky alternative. For even more money I could have the battery recharged by solar panels

or I might treat myself to one of these

or one of these

Different and effective. I agree with Craig, it would be interesting to see the same technique applied to a closer shot of the flowers.
