A nice encounter Guy and good tongue flick. This looks like the same female that Danny Green and his colleague photographed at the C. Chase a couple of days before..? The labial scales look almost identical!

The females have only recently begun to emerge in any numbers and she looks in good condition.

Might take just a small amount off of the top of the image but minor.

Hello Brett.

Not to sure if Danny as photographed this Adder or not as this one was being released by the foresrty commisition in a new location, as they need to be removed from a couple of pools the school children use by the visitor centure. I was able to photograph this one as they released her and she slowly went on her way.

Nicely done, albeit a shame they have to be moved but rather that than they get bad press from a mishap encounter.. It's interesting though that they can return to the original sites from over 2km away it would seem.. You got to love Adders or is it just me..?

Lovely shot Guy and a great tongue flick. Last Sunday I spent 4 hours searching a site a few miles from here where adders are reported to be found but with no luck.

Hello Guy, I like this image, well taken with great use of DOF, and the tongue flick is the icing on the cake. I'd love to try and photograph these myself.
Regards,
Paul. :wavey:

Beautiful focus on the eye, and great to catch the tongue out. Very nice indeed.

For outdoor LED use I was looking at these.

alternatively a deep cycle battery, inverter and my existing LED lighting would be a more costly and bulky alternative. For even more money I could have the battery recharged by solar panels

or I might treat myself to one of these:smile:

or one of these

Hi Guy, never too sure about these guys and a remote was worth doing.

The OOF body, close-up of the eye, with the whispering tongue, combined to be a good shot. :toast:
