Pit viper I think. The guy I was with almost peed on this and looked a bit white when he showed me it.

Not too certain that this one works for me Andrew. DoF is so minimal it's a bit confusing even though the focus is spot on the eye.

Always difficult to get shots in the jungle, there is never any light. I like snakes, and work with them, but I think I would have taken this from a bit further back even so!

Lots of tension in the image but I would agree that a bit more depth of field would have increased it effectiveness (easier said than done in that light though).

Definitely a pit viper. Was it in Borneo? Could be a temple/Wagler's pit viper (Tropidolaemus wagleri). Agree with above comments, shame no tripod!
