On the way back from Skye and due to the nature of the weather being quite a bit warmer than usual (2009) I was hunting for different compositions. Another landscape although this time shot on a big telephoto and converted to B&W in CS4. In colour; the recession tones are different shades of blue, although I prefer as presented.
Beautiful lines in this, creating a very soothing image. I would hang this on a wall too. My crop suggestion would be to take a little from the top and both sides

Beautiful vista and conversion. I would go with the 4:3 and a slice off the left to allow the slopes to lead to the main tree .Then frame it and hang it . Looks like the mono's wrapped up for you at your place .

Hi Ian.Fine landscape image which really suits the b&w conversion.
Do you have any taken from where you are farther to the right,so that the main tree is placed at the junction where the converging hillsides meet the distant forest treetops?
All lines would then lead to the tree as the main focal point.

the scaling of the tones.
I would crop at the left to a 4:3
