Gannet + question
Gannet - On this one, the sun came out at just the right time, this gave the underwings a beautiful sheen, thanks for looking.

Superb, the subject stands out beautifully against the excellent BG, the diagonal spread of the wings divides it very nicely indeed.

Clean & simple Andy, that's what makes a good image.

Perhaps a small tweak in selective colour might just work on the wings?

Nice one Andy works well .The underside of the bird although not clipped may have been better if you had applied an sRGB profile before posting . There are areas of white which are hanging in there just .

'you had applied an sRGB profile before posting'

That might explain Mark why it looked a bit 'washed out' in PS when i view it, didn't check that.

Thanks for the comments guys

A question for Mark,Steve or anyone else who can help re the processing.

I always convert my RAW files in DPP and save as a 16bit TIFF with an Adobe RGB profile, I then convert the profile to sRGB in CS2 for web posting. Just so I'm clear on this, does this image still carry the Adobe RGB profile?

Because today I've a noticed a strange occurrence with CS2, once I've opened the Adobe RGB TIFF the source profile is showing sRGB before I've even converted it to sRGB, surely the source profile should be Adobe RGB?

Hope this makes sense and any feedback on this would be very much appreciated.

Hi it depends on whether you have told CS2 to use the imbedded profile or the working profile by default, personally myself I never convert any of mine as I use a colour aware Web browser.

Phil.

Ps a nice looking image.
