So - finally a few specs of dust are showing. The self cleaning feature is no good on these, and blowing didn't work.

I have some eclipse from my old 20D days. Does anyone know if that is safe for use with the 5DMII sensor structure?

Do not use the "old" Eclipse on any sensor that has sensor cleaning in the camera. The sensor cover is coated with special anti static stuff that the original eclipse will harm. There is an Eclipse 2, or some other name, that is made for these cameras. However, i use a brush from Copperhill or an Arctic Butterfly and do not find a need to wet clean.

Yeah- that's what various other sites are alluding to, also. Sucks as I need to head out to Shendadoah soon and only have the original eclipse stuff. Need to see if I can get an express order for the eclipse 2.

I have the Copperhill brush, but for some reason it never worked well for me. I have heard mixed reviews on the Arctic Butterfly, and have never used it myself.
