Hi everyone,

I just thought I would introduce myself.

I have been lurking behind the scenes for a while now and thought it was about time I registered. The quality of the photo's on this site are excellent and inspirational and I hope to be a part of that.

I live in Wirral in the North West of England.

I shoot mainly landscape photo's but do try my hand occasionally at other genres. I got my first camera in December 2005 and haven't looked back since.

Cheers for now, Gary.

Welcome to NPN Gary. I am new myself and have found the site to be very inspirational.

Are you located near the Lake District National Park? I was there a few years ago, stayed in Bowness, and really enjoyed the hiking, etc. I had no idea UK had such a wonderful area!

Thanks for the welcome Walt.

I'm about a 2 hour drive from the southern end of the Lake District. I agree, it is a wonderful area. Incidently my first uploaded photo on NPN was taken in the Lakes.

Cheers, Gary.

Welcome to NPN Gary! The first and best advice I can give you is to jump right in, post some images and participate in offering your own comments and critiques. Many folks would agree that there is a lot to be learned simply by evaluating and commenting on other people's work.

Welcome aboard.

Lon
