Thought I might go for something completely different.
The original was shot early in the morning with nice warm light, which highlighted the eye well, emphasising the warm, deep rich chestnut colour. Therefore I just converted the rest of the body to B/W reducing any other tones and brought the eye back in to its true colour.
Subtle perhaps, but graphically I feel the images is rather arresting? In addition, I went for a 'pano' crop portrait to also emphasis the head.

A stunning image Stephen, I really like the mix of B+W and colour, it works well with this subject

Very nice indeed! Good use of photoshop. Was this captive or in the wild? Where was it?

Hi Steve,
I think this is a great shot, but I like it even more with some more taken off the left hand side. I think it is because the ear distracts my attention from the eye a bit. Whatever, well seen and executed. eric
