My sympathies to you Stan. My dad died from Alzheimers in December 2008. My wife and her brother have been dealing with serious illness of their mom for that past couple years. Its horrible to see the parents we once depended on in such a state. But its life and caring for our parents is what good families do -- so along with my sympathies, my hat goes off to you!

Hope to see you back here soon.

Stan, thanks for sharing a bit of your life with us folks. We are in very similar life stages...with aging parents (my Dad at 87 and Mom at 82; M-in-l at 81). All are still independent...yet, at this age...very vulnerable. I hope you have find the best path. My prayers are that God's grace will be evident through this time.

We sure have missed you Stan, but there's nothing more important than family. I'm glad your father had you to take care of him.
