Pool Surprise.
Song Thrush
Nice to see one of these again.Quite a rarity around here these days.
Woodland Pool No 1 Hope the dry spell continues , as it should bring some good stuff in. (Until the leaves get open of course then it'll get too dark.)

You've got some subtle and attractive lighting on the subject, John. If you contrived this well done; if it is a lucky accident, then I wish you more good luck.

Thanks all
Phill- Not sure how you "contrive" a picture of a song thrush in a puddle.
Its just a case of sitting there in the hide for a few hours and grabbing what comes ! The light changes constantly as it moves behind trees and branches etc and the gear is always left on low contrast as it can get prety harsh when the light is directly on the pool .
In this pool the light always comes from the right and gets pretty low by 5 oclock at this time of year.
Cheers

Beautiful shot with lovely lighting.
My only small nit would be to see a little more at the bottom,to see a bit of space below the head reflection in the pool.

It's a sad day when seeing a song thrush has become a surprise. It's a beautiful shot though John - no doubt about it.
