am just back from 2 weeks in the hebrides, Mull and Coll really. Wasn't really an intensive photography trip, more of a exploring/camping/hitchhiking type trip so the objective was more to try and keep as much gear as dry as possible and in that sense the whole thing was a total failure . Aside from that very enjoyable and i did managed to snap a few pics when i wasn't wringing out my sleeping bag.

Anyway it all proved too much for my camera in the end and it conked out on the last night when i was trying to show just how close hightide was to my tent (less than a metre ), however for no obvious reason it was back to full functionality this morning, perhaps it just needed a breath of clean London air

This was taken on Coll one afternoon i spent lying in cow manure to get these as they fed in and around some silage hoppers, (not sure that's the right name but you get the jist)

managed a few of the usual barbed wire shots of these but was more keen to get a good shot on the ground, never quite managed but am fairly happy with this

40D + 300mm F4L + 1.4 extender
ISO 200
crop from top and bottom to pano

PS will post some of the obligatory otter shots in due course

I like this a lot. The pano suits it well :toast:

Nice and sharp with some good lighting, and you've certainly made the most of it with your pano crop.
Sounds like you had a lovely time too.

I like this, the crop suits the subject very well. I'll look forward to 'obligatory' otters in due course!
