On Saturday morning I decided to make a last minute trip down to Clifty Falls State Park in Southern Indiana. Having seen some of the outstanding work that Bernie Kasper has produced in this area I took a chance and sent him an email through NPN to see if he could offer some advise on where to shoot. He replied right away and to my surprise he not only told me about his favorite spots but he came out to the park and took me to them. We had a great time and I came away with a few keepers.
Here is a one that I'm not too sure about. Bernie tells me these are Blue-eyed Mary's with Larkspur in the background adding the purple. C&C much appreciated.
I also posted an image of a trillium in the "Recent Work" gallery on my website which is a little more traditional.
Thanks again Bernie.

The out of focus background works very well for these beauties, Mike. Sorry, I can't confirm the ID on these flowers, never having seen them before myself.
Way to go, Bernie...great to hear about MWNP members willing to go to the extra mile for another member!

You don't have to thank me at all Mike, it was great to meet up with a fellow Hoosier and MWNP member and spend a few hours sharing info and stories with a talented photographer such as yourself.
I love the image, the soft focus and colors are wonderful in this and the bg reminds me of an artists canvas, beautiful work imho !!!
One I have not seen before as well. I like the color and the background works well.

Thanks everyone. Although macro is normally not my thing, Bernie has inspired me to find some time this week to crawl around the forest floor and see what I can find.
