OT: Spring at 75 mph
Weekend before last my wife and I drove to Arkansas to visit our daughter in college. What's a bored photographer supposed to do while is wife is driving at 75mph down I-40? So, I experimented with panning, iso, and shutter speeds and came up with some interesting shots.

Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

and #4

I like #1 and #2 equally. I was also happy to hear you weren't driving while you were shooting, something I've tried with predictably poor results both on the safety and image fronts.

I like them Morris! I guess I'll have to let my wife do some of the driving for our trip this week.

Pretty fun, Morris! I like #1 and #4 best.

#1 and #4 are outstanding. 2 and 3 just don't seem that interesting to me.

Well done.

Those are pretty impressive shots from a car window. I like #4 best, followed by 1, 2, and 3, in that order.

Fun stuff!
#1 is my favorite. What's yours?

The painterly effect really stands out in 1 and 4. Fun stuff. My own attempts at doing this never work out, so I'm impressed with your results. Gotta try not driving next time.

Very impressive, Morris!

I like 1 and 4 too -- I have to think that this would be how it feels to be a dog hanging your head out the window going down the highway.

Great work Morris, these turned out really well.

Yep 1 and 4 work for me. I especially like the grass shooting at different directions in the first one.

Thanks guys.
It just shows what boredom can make you resort to. The redbuds and dogwoods were just outstanding, and it killed me that I did not have any time for some serious photography, but it was just a blitzkreig of a trip. Brutal. 2300 miles in 5 days. 2 days to get there, 1 day there, and 2 back.
Jeff, Bill, and Paul, you guys are hilarious.
Erik, Grant, and Jesse, I would pay money to see what you guys could come up with.
Tien, that is what appealed to me as well.
John, I think I like #2 because the panning froze the redbud and everything else is blurred, so it struck me that it is like turning your head in the car and really looking at one thing that catches your attention for that instant. The compression killed the detail in the tree and surrounding grasses that is there in the raw file.
Thanks Brian for your total honesty!

Morris, you are a true original. These are great! #2: WTF??? How is that one flowery bush sharp while the rest isn't?

Morris - Neat ideas. I love number one.
