Saturday evening I wished I had headed up to Woodland Park rather than Ute Valley Open Space. I watched the clouds break up and was really kicking myself for being in the wrong place. I brought home some good images, but missed a great opportunity.

I headed out for Woodland Park Sunday morning to try and get above the fog, only to find that the fog topped out much lower than I expected. Doh! Turn around on US-24 and back to Rampart Range Road from the Garden side. Eventually I got it all worked out and this was part of the results.

Nice!! I like the mood these images invoke.

Mel that second image is really nice. I would go in for a tighter crop on the trees in the bottom right myself. The light rays and contrast of the trees against that fog are excellent.

I like #2 and agree with Koveh's crop suggestion.

Those are both outstanding! I really like the wrap around the trees #2 shot.

Nice work on both of these, Mel. I think a monochromatic rendition of #1 would really make it sing.
