The La Sals at sunset...
A few more from the Lost Spring Canyon area. I had trouble choosing from the large assortment of images I have from this particular evening, so I apologize for the glut. I was lucky to arrive in the area as a small front was moving in -- earlier in the afternoon I got some sleet at my campsite. Despite the weather, the clouds were really shaping up to be pretty nice so I headed down to the canyon rim from where I was camped. As I said, I have trouble picking from them, so please vote for your favorites!

Awesome! that is some incredible light.

Neat location for sure. This series is even better than your last post, IMO, with #3 here being my favorite, followed closely by #1.

I prefer the light in #1. Great clouds.

I prefer #1 with second place going to #3. The difference is in the way the color is brought out of the red sandstone in the first. In the later shots it is losing its impact due to the blue tone.

I like the cloud coloration and peak lighting in #3, but the foreground in #1. Were you able to capture an intermediate?

Real glad to see more from your backroads wanderings at this place.
I'm with Mel as far as favorite choices. Wondering if you can work with #3 a bit to add some warmth and a bit more light to the foreground.

Sweet! #1 is particularly nice, IMHO.

#1 is my pick too, Paul, because of the light on the canyons. The clouds are awesome in #3, though. I'd also be curious to see an edit using John's suggestions.

I'm going for #3 with the light just kissing the peaks and the great color. All of them are excellent.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions -- John I will have to try and play around with #3 to see if I can get it less blue and a little lighter. Unfortunately as the sun was going down the higher ground up in the Devil's Garden was blocking the direct light. Perhaps earlier in the year with the sun a little further south there may be better direct light on the canyon. I have quite a few images from spot and I will have to see if I have something between the 2 I posted.

Really like #1. That foreground is impressive.

Really like the first one.

I'm having just as much trouble as you did...I like them all. Great captures!

Man, these are cool! Those cloud curtains in the distance are amazing.

Thanks guys you are too kind. Sounds like most like #1 with #3 in 2nd place.

Sweet shots Paul, all are very nice but I think #1 is excellent.

Wow, amazing light.

#3, considering John's comments. But they're all good.
