This week we had a wonderful and varied mix of images, as always. Here's a few of the highlights that stood out for us.

Zack Schnepf's "Golden Pyramid Dunes."  Zack came home from his Death Valley trip with some striking winners and this is no exception. The way the foreground dunes stand out like a delicious desert against the darker valley in shade is mesmerizing.

Yan Zhang's "Reed Reflection."  Simple, elegant and a great post from a new member.

It's hard to ignore the fabulous spring that's been unfolding around the world, and the two that stood out for us this week were, John William's "Storm Passing" and Helio Cristovao's "Spring Dream."

Bill Chambers' Bouquet of Oaks is a wonderful black and white rendition taken in what many might consider somewhat harsh light, take this as some inspiration to head out with your camera on those clear sunny days!

That leaves us with the weekly pick for this week, Matt Anderson's Waves of Regret. This is an image you just need to stare at for some time, the mesmerizing wave motion is fascinating on its own, but the the illusion of a horizon a third of the way from the top is what sets this image over the top.

Great work everyone!

Thanks once again Floris for providing these highlights, and you guys picked a great entry for the EP this week. When I first saw Matt's image my eyes nearly bugged out of my head. Certainly one of the finest and most dramatic images I've seen in a while.

I missed most of these, but thanks to the great job of the moderating team (and of course of the photographers  ) I saw them now.

Thanks once again for doing this!

Thanks Floris for your highlight and encouragement. I missed out Matt Anderson's Waves of Regret, it is really a great image with powerful ocean features.

Cooool :toast: :toast:
Thanks for the highlight Floris and moderation team

I guess we´re having some very good weeks on NPN galleries, definitely Spring is bringing colorful awesome images, I´ve seen lately some of the finest recent Spring images!

About this photo selected "Spring Dream", I must say it´s curious, in that day I wasn´t about to shoot that sunset indeed! I was in the field - in that place for the 1st time - did´t know the terrain, the best comps. to shoot, etc, but... I was having quite a good shooting session! Dramatic and impressive clouds formations, I though even before sunset I had my material all done and work payed off. But, once again... I saw some good light coming from above and right beyond the plain top, that´s when I get to start running, looking around, trying to find a good comp. Wasn´t easy in the field, and even unexpected, and know here it is... I´m happy with the image and glad for the impression it caused here on NPN  A lesson once more... sometimes, expect the unexpected!

I´ve been shooting almost everyday, 5 working days a week since early April, capturing the colorful essence of Alentejo in Southeast Portugal plains. Some of this work is yet to be released, but I´ll try to have a new image made in the same day of this "Spring Dream" to let you know what I´m talking about
Keep the great work all of you guys :wavey:
