Unusual Pose
Hi everyone, Thought I'd upload this image of the lowly Dunnock in a somewhat unusual pose. All comments most welcome as usual. :wavey:
Canon EOS 7D, Sigma 150-500mm lens, Tripod.

f6.3, 1/1000sec, ISO 200, @340mm.

Slight Canvas Extension to top, and slight crop to LHS to hopefully improve comp?

Hi Paul,

That is a great pose! Personally I would crop more off the left. Great detail!

Cheers,

Lewis.

I agree with Lewis on this one but still a hard one to sort out crop wise. The bird is superb though ! Any more on the right would be just tree trunk I supose.
Interesting one .

Thanks for the critique guys, due to popular demand, lol. Here is a LHS crop. Any better?

The re-post is great and a stronger composition IMO.

Excellent - second one for me is stronger. I like the way the 'curve' of the bird follows the curve of the tree too :toast:

Agree with all above - a great pose and a better second crop. Is it just me that thinks it looks a bit like a chicken?!

Wonderful image - especially the second. Never seen one like that!

A very nice Dunnock in an interesting pose... my only minor nit is that you can see on the tree where you have added canvas, not a deal breaker though and easy to correct...

Stot on , where did all that neck come from . I like the way the curve ofthe bird matches the curve of the tree , nice shot.

Bob.
