Hi to all,

Does anyone know if a firmware update is available for the Epson P7000 photoviewer which will support the RAW file for the Canon 7D ?

Many thanks

Hmm... I have a P-5000 and I can view 7D RAW files just fine on it. I'm surprised to hear that the P-7000 doesn't let you view them.

Hi Max,

My P7000 will be arriving this morning, so as of yet I haven't tried the 7D file. After looking at Epson's website I noticed that the 7D was missing from the supported camera list so therefore thought it wasn't supported.

But if your P5000 supports the 7D then hopefully the P7000 will be the same, sorry for any confusion.

I believe what Epson is doing now is pulling the embedded jpeg from the RAW header to view on these viewers. I have the P6000 and have not had issues viewing images from cameras that Epson does not list as "supported". I'm guessing the P7000 will handle your 7D images just fine.

Cheers guys, I received my P7000 yesterday and it works fine with the 7D files

Many thanks
