Grey Heron in Flight
Well it has been a month or two since I last posted, but I thought it was high time I did!!

Took this last Saturday near the Kent coast and was really chuffed with the light on the bird. A very slight crop for composition.....

40D, 100-400 @400mm, 1/1250 sec, f11, ISO 400.

Nicely done Fran with good detail in the wingspan as Brett says and can be easily lost. Might be tempted to drop the f stop next time, as f/11 IMHO is a bit high?

See... told you, really really nice, f11 has rendered the bird nicely sharp, keeping it all within the DoF....
