Certainly different Andy. :toast:

BTW Did the change in workflow help?

Cheers Steve, it's not that often that I do different and I liked the tongue

As for the workflow, I haven't tried it out yet  , but thanks for taking the time to explain it to me. It's good to know that there are people on UKNP that are ready to go out of their way to help others.

You should try 'different' more often. Great timing to capture the moment.

I don't know if Audubon ever painted a kittiwake, but if he did it would have looked like this. Very different, and technically superb.

Very nice.... is this much of a crop? It appears that there is a slight smudging of the detail that could be the crop or NR.

Great pose and love the tongue....

Can't be an Audubon pose David, this one is def not shot

Hi Phil,

It's not that far from full frame, so only a slight crop if I remember rightly. I thought the very same thing after processing the image for web, knowing my 7D it's probably just not sharp

Hi Andy,

Cracking capture, especially with a 7D  ! The pose and tongue make it. I can see some halos around the white areas but easily sorted.

Cheers,

Lewis.
