I enjoy the challenge of macro photography. Today, however, the challenge was beyond enjoyable. Dark skies, wind with come-and-go rain made for a difficult shoot. Under the circumstances, this was the best I could do with a flowering tree near Cherry Creek State Park.
If you happen to be near Parker Saturday evening, I would love to have you stop by Kunjani Coffee (10009 N. Jordan Road - corner of Jordan and Lincoln just south of the C470). I will have a photo display at Kunjani through May. Saturday there will be an open house from 6:00PM until 9:00PM. Stop by and my grandkids will serve you a complimentary brownie or lemon square.
Really nice background to compliment the white blossoms. And the raindrop is a great addition to the shot. I applaud your dedication to be out in this stuff today! I should be able to stop by and see your display. Congratulations!

A fine macro with a pleasing background. Love the raindrop you captured!
I can't seem to get past the OOF bud and busy top third, though.
Consider cropping the top third...the two lower stems would then enter from the top left while showcasing the bottom two most attractive buds.

I didn't even see John's suggestion when I looked at this and thought, "cut it in half, save the bottom half, trash the rest. THAT'S your photo.
What John and Todd suggested. Love the smooth background - very attractive.

I agree with the bottom half...that part of the the photo is very pleasing to the eye. Love the background since it really brings out the white and the drop just completes the scene. Nice capture.
