Rocks Trees Hills
I'll try not to wear out my welcome of shots like this. I was just very pleased with this scene that I came across last weekend. My timing worked out good with the trees still showing their spring colors. It incorporated 3 of things I seem to gravitate towards when out with camera in hand. Rocks, trees and of course the flint hills.

Tip for locales: South of Manhattan and exiting south off of I-70 take Lower McDowell Road follow it to Tulley Hill and turn west. For the next few miles there are some of the most beautiful pristine views of the flint hills I have come across. This shot was taken looking towards the north west. The open prairie and flint hills running along the south is truly something to behold. (But of course that is just my opinion, and everyone knows I'm a little wacky when it comes to things like that). Now if I can just get my camera to capture the "feelings" I have when I view areas like this I would have it made.

Be safe and have a great weekend all.

Beautiful shot Brad...this shot "is" the Flint Hills in the spring. I'll have to check out the location you mentioned, thanks for the info!

nice one, Brad. I like the colors, and the stones anchor the image

Lovely Redbuds (state tree of Oklahoma) with elms and oaks in the bg. Is that the grand canyon of Kansas in the bg?

Great image Brad. The greens and golds complement the Redbud, and the background adds a sense of depth and scale.
