female reed bunting
To be honest I find the female even more beautiful then the male. Especially in this late evening sun.

Super BG Edwin. Not sure if this is FF, but I think I might have wanted to see the whole of the reed head, but then that may place the bird too high in the frame ?

Cheers, Graham

Thanks Graham,

Yes it's full frame. I know what you mean and I agree but nothing I could do.

Thanks,

Edwin

don't normally go for lit background/shaded subject shots but i think you've pulled this one off, great detail and like the delicate colour of the reed head, might be tempted to cool and desaturate the colour on this slightly but only a personal thing, excellent shot

I think the background colour/brightness overpowers the bird a little too much for my tastes; that said, the composition and colours of the Reed Bunting and Reed head is spot-on!

Stunning, I feel the background works really well!
