Found this little bunch of paintbrush in Arches National Park last weekend. I took this on a 4x5 camera and needless to say the web sized image lacks considerable detail

I wish the bush wasn't so dead looking, but I guess the flowers sprung back to life before its had a chance to. Other than that, this is totally sweet.

I like it. You get a good sense of contrast at the beginning of the season. Great shot!

This is really nice. I love the way the red flowers contrast with the rest of the scene. At this size, I'm not really fond of the bare central shrub, but I think if I saw this large I would overlook that in favor of the detail I know you got here.

Really like how the red flowers stand out. Nice comp.
This is nice - I like how you left room for some of the sandstone formations in the distance (upper right). They really add to the sense of place.

I guess I am the contrarian, Randy. I like the comp with the dead bush where it is. The red flowers, then the bush then some more flowers on the right take your eye right up to the tower. I think it was masterfully done.
That is some sweet morning light and an interesting sky you captured here. The paintbrush has a very nice fire engine red color to them. As for the discussion above, I am getting tired of all this pro/con political talk of Bush so I will skip that part.
