Oregon Coast
I did not make it to the gathering again(MAYBE this fall I hope!)...but I have a better excuse than in the past. Myself and two other NE AR photo makers journied to Oregon. While there we spent three wonderful days with Marc Adamus who took us to some of his go-to spots and then a couple more on our own. Anyone out there who doesn't know Marcs' work should check it out...and anyone interested in taking a tour with him I would reccomend him in a second. Friendly, full of great info on the area and it's biology and geology.
While there we had the honor of being the last ones to see his Subaru Forester(over 300,000 miles-and just returned from a long trip to the SW)this side of car heaven as it blew a head gasket on the way to meet us. I also got to experience the grand coastline of Oregon up close and personal. My skills will not do it justice but here is a glimpse of Seal Rock with the sun just hitting the tops of the formation as the tide is rolling in.

I can see the sun hitting the tops of a couple rocks. It looks like a tough scene to fully capture. I know Marc's work. He is outstanding photographer. Cool that you got to hang out with him a little, probably lots of info between those ears.

The gathering was fun, even if it did rain all weekend. We really needed the rain though so I will take waterfalls and wet clothes over comfort any day. Hope to see you in the fall.

Good job on the composition Bob. The curved line from the Seal Rock down to the ridge and then back up to the foreground really leads the eye through the photo. Hope you make it to the next gathering.. this one was a lot of fun.
