Grey partridge
As some of you already know, this has been a target species of mine for a very long time. I was therefore thrilled to find a pair near the main track across Elmley a few weeks ago. Unfortunately they were in tussocky grass, and there was no way I could avoid shooting straight into the sun. Even so, I was pleased to get both birds together and after a lot of post-processing hope I have made the best of the opportunity. Several blades of grass cloned out from the female (the one in front).

Thanks for looking.

David

Thanks everyone for the comments so far. Steve, you are right about the grass - I have had to make a few compromises to bring the birds up, and the grass is one of the things sacrificed in the process.

Hi David, why don't you duplicate the layer with the GP as you like them, make a mask and bring them back into the layer with the grass correct. Flatten, save for web, post?

Congrats on the capture David, I was in the same boat with Corn Bunting until today  I see loads of these when I visit Norfolk, but never manage a shot.

Another great capture, nits covered and I'd recommend following those tips on the processing as it's sound advice and will bring out the best in your, already good, image.
