Short Eared Owl. + info.
Photographed in the Scottish Borders.
Thanks for looking and any comments.

Phil. :wavey:

Sorry,I forgot the info.
Canon 1D Mk11N,500+1.4 lens,1/1000 f5.6 and iso 400.
Small crop off the lhs and bottom. The owl had just taken off from the fence and so closer to the top than I would like.No blurring at the sides, just down to dof Steve. :wavey:

An unusual but effective image. I like the inclusion of the fence line the colour of which compliments the bird as much as the background does. Nice one.

Difficult Phil, need some EXIF data, but would add or re crop with more room at the top. Have you blurred both l & rhs, also is this a crop, if so by how much? Without any story or data Phil I find it hard to compile any real form of reply, sorry.

an unusual shot and all the better for it. I like this a lot. Ideally you would have a little more room at the top but it still works very well for me.

Hello Phil.

Good capture and Iwould be pleased with it, most pleased.

The only nit would be for a little on top but I think you could have done that if thats what you would have wanted.

Very nice shot but I would have liked a little more depth of field, never easy though with long lenses. The comp is fine for me just wish I had a few of these to poke a lens at .
