lightning oak
This tree reminds me of an upsidedown lightning strike. Love the tree, hate the location.FG is all dirt mounds and blackberry bushes.BG is power lines and industrial. Its only 5 min.from home, so if I see a sunset coming I can run. Any suggestions?

Heck, Jerry, give me a quarter to a half inch of dark on the bottom and I'll be all over it! With it being this dark, you could clone in a bunch if the real life situation was too ugly.

I like Mark's suggestion, it's a cool image to begin with.

This is pretty nice. I agree with the suggestion of a little foreground to help "ground" things...

Wow - I agree that some more dark at the bottom would really help ground this, but that's an amazing shot.

Jerry - I love tree silhouettes. I enjoy the sky you have, but I agree with the comment above about the foreground. Nicely done!

Are you a long term resident of Washougal? I grew up 10 miles up the Washougal River road, and graduated from Washougal HS - a while ago

Elizabeth, Only about ten years in Washougal and 20 years before that in Troutdale across the river. We are only about 5 blocks up the hill from high school.
