My first bee..
..in flight image this year. They're not getting any easier, :eek: when using manual focus and exposure.

Just noticed your lens by the way. I was given one the same yesterday !
Only played a bit but seems great as I can't get used to the 150 macro being so far away!

Excellent lens especially on a Sigma dslr, John :smile: :wink: You can get really up close and personal. Sorts out the men from the boys photographically, especially when photographing wasps.

Great detail and colours are great. Nice to see the wing up. Pollen adds a nice touch. Rather you than me with wasps. I'll stick to Adders :wink:

nicely taken David and I know how hard these type of shots are. Any idea of the species of bee? Or maybe it's a pollen covered honey bee?

I don't know about you, but it's been a very good year for bees in my garden so far. Lots more than in previous years (both in terms of numbers and species).
