I know the Flatirons are photographed often, but I had not been down to shoot them since last Spring, and they are practically on my doorstep. Suprisingly I was the only one there this past Sunday!.
The recent rains have created a great reflecting pool, which gave me plenty of opportunity to create something a little unique.
First image is my personal favourite, the rest are posted in order. Canon 5Dii, Canon 24-105L, GND.

Nick, The pond is good but my favorites are #s 2 and 3. I love the 'V' shape created by the rocks, tree and the Flatirons in #3 - all that augmented by the cloud. Very nice.

Nice set, Nick. Reflection shots of the Flatirons are certainly unique.

Ditto what Rod said. I like the reflection and its uniqueness, but the pool looks so scrappy that it's a detractor.

Interesting, you guys prefer the straight forward shots #2 and #3, I appreciate your input and honesty. Todd, the pool is just temporary due to all the rain from last week, so yes it was a little scrappy, I just tried to find the least scrappy area to work with
Well done Nick. Very pleasing set. As always, your composition are spot on. The soft pink like does well at this classic front range location. As said earlier, the rocks and tree in #3 give a very pleasing leading line. Despite what others have said I like the reflections. Sure it would have been nice to have a larger puddle to work with, but you took what you were given and got a unique shot. Now how about showing us the one with the puddle and the soft pink light?

Nice set and what an interesting find with that pool of runoff. I don't get tired of seeing these shots since I shoot the Flatirons all the time and am always interested seeing other people's take.

Great shots, I'd have to say I like #2 and #3 the best as well.

Mmmm things are greening up nicely. I might just have to be contrary to the previous opinions and say that #1 is my favorite despite the scrappiness. Numbers 2-4 are certainly clean comps with some nice early light, but I dig the unique reflection and the bold golden light on the Flatirons of the first one. Nice collection Nick.
I liked the reflection one and also #3, perhaps liked a little more of the reflection with the whole dead stem at the left ( entirely my opinion though )
Those are all a different take on this great place. I think I like #2 the best. Nice work, Nick!

I never tire of seeing good images of the Flatirons.
Probably 'cause I live as far away from there as can be while still living in Colorado.
I prefer #6 over #1 due to the cloud patterns, and my favorite is #4.
Well done, Nick!
Great series, Nick! I like #1 the best, it has the best light.

Creative use of reflections, Nick. #6 is my favorite because of the clouds, but as others have mentioned, the weeds are distracting. I need to get down there more often (as in more than once every couple of years)
