Puffins, - 'Love them, hate them', they are the most comical of seabirds for me, with their brightly coloured beak and their burrowing habits. Now showing, but hope to spend some time with these guys at the end of next month, weather permitting way up North.

Agree with Mark but you can never get bored of these birds.. they are brilliant and well photographed. I'm sure we'll see a glut of them in the coming months. Well controlled for the light. I might have been inclined to up the angle a little or move tot he left so that the front edge of the rock was less distracting. I hope to go back and get some these myself one-day.
Hi Brett there was stuff I wanted to exclude, so any higher might meant some PS work so hence the comp, but thanks for the suggestion. Let me know if you are heading up over the next few months, could meet up perhaps?
Hi mate, lovely jobly. I really do like this one, I think it's the overall palette that really makes the bird stands out. Can't think of anything else to add to Mark & Brett's comments, but do consider that both points are very minor to 'improve' what is already a great image.

I love 'em myself - good job on this, you've controlled the lighting very well and a nice uncluttered background - nice one
cheers

I am another puffin lover lol, and have enjoyed viewing this image. Love the clean b/g and control on the whites. A very nice image of a bird full of character.
Nice to see a puffin without a mouth full of sand ells! The rounded body shape give the bird a certain appeal. The image looks jut a tad flat on my monitor though.
