A real stunner Tony, showing every bit of the feather detail. The light is superb and makes this difficult subject stand out beautifully from the b/g. Love it!!

A beautifully detailed shot Tony which stands out against the lovely background. Love the angle too.
That's very nice indeed, great light and detail. Is this a Juvenile?? as it's colouration would suggest, nice to see the youngsters from last year about though

The more and more I look at this, it's looks to be a Peregrine X Saker hybrid, the colours on the back and facial markings are just not correct for 100% Peregrinus. What are your thoughts ???

Rob, I must confess that I did delay posting the shot because the more I looked at the series of images that I shot the more confused about the species I became. I was running a workshop for a local bird observatory last night and when I showed the image it was agreed that it was indeed a Peregrine albeit a young female. The male was also present but more distant and was very much a Peregrine.
Yes, definatly a youngster. she's not breeding is she ?? (should be to young). Guessing its one of last years youngsters come back to say hi to Mum and Dad.
I was watching my local pair today, I watched the female go so high on 3 occasions she dotted out in the bino's, amazing. My pair have 4 chicks about 12 days old now
