The anonymous gallery misses you!
Just a quick reminder to take a look at the anonymous gallery now and then. People do post images there, and I'd like to make sure they get a few helpful reviews!
You are correct Varina. It seems to be an easy overlook. I just dropped by and offered a couple on reactions.

Are there pictures there now? I went there to comment and it appears that the gallery is empty. That is what it is like every time I've gone there. My computer here at work is old so maybe that is the problem, but If the pictures are not showing up for some people, maybe that is why there are so few comments. I never have trouble with any of the other galleries.

I too just went to the anonymous gallery and found nothing there.

I'm on my computer at home now and I just noticed something. When I was not logged in the anonymous gallery appeared empty, but when I logged in I saw the photos. This is not the way it is in the other galleries, so it may cause people to think the anonymous gallery is empty if they haven't logged in yet.

You're right, Barb... you have to be logged in to see images in the Anonymous Gallery. I'm not sure why that is. I suppose as moderator for the gallery, I should know. I'll send an email out and see if I can find out! Thanks for pointing that out!

Hi, Varina - forgive me, but I don't quite understand why someone would post anonymously.. ?
One of mine got posted there by mistake when I checked the wrong forum box, but then it disappeared..
Sandy - I'm not sure why your image disappeared from the anonymous gallery. I don't think I've seen that problem before. People choose to post there for a variety of reasons. Perhaps they aren't quite sure about an image and want a few critiques from people before they're willing to claim the image as their own. :) Maybe they feel that some reviewers are biased because of the name they see next to a photo. In some cases, photographers are trying a new technique or idea, and want to see how people respond to an image. And at times, we all just want to have our work reviewed without that inevitable comparison to our past work.
Of course, there's no pressure to post in the anonymous gallery, so if it's not for you, that's ok too. :) There are some beautiful images over there, though. So if you do have a few minutes, we'd love it if you'd stop in and leave a comment or two.
