A newly-opened home products business in Colorado Springs is looking for local (Colorado) photographers who would be willing to display their art in a shopping-center based retail location. Subject matter is not necessarily limited to landscape/scenic work but must be fine art quality and 'G'-rated.
The home products business would not conduct the transaction that sells your art, but would refer interested parties to you in the event you wanted to sell. You set the price and would conduct the transaction on your own.
Artists would be able to display an assortment of their work for approximately one month at a time.
This business has little in the way of competing product (wall art). They do not ask commission on any sale, but would like to negotiate with the artist some kind of nominal payment-in-kind for the opportunity to use their wall space. Donation of an item for permanent display has been mentioned.
This business has many square feet of empty wall space, much of it visible through windows to passerby traffic. You would supply framed, ready-to-hang art. You would also be welcome to display an artist bio, contact information, business cards, etc. You would provide the wall hangers and any needed hardware. You would work with the store staff to mount your art and related promotional items. The walls are painted/textured sheet rock over metal studs.
The need is immediate - you could hang your items as early as May 5th if you reach agreement with the store management.
Management is eager to find the right artist partners and are easy to work with. Anyone wishing to learn more can email me at Paul@ColorBandit.com and I'll fill you in.
Happy shooting!

Wow - I've had lots of responses. If everyone follows through with the contact info I provided, they will have art through the end of the year. Good luck to everyone - hope to see your work hanging!
