Never seen one of these so I don't know if it is how they really appear but it does look oversaturated on here. Nice comp and image though.

Thanks John and Robert.I would really like people on the forum to tell me there opinions on my pictures i notice a lot of looking( thanks for them) but no comments i don't mind them even if they are bad at least i would know where i am going wrong  and will learn from them.
Robert thanks for yours but this is how the bird looks all i did was to add a little fill flash and a little usm on resize but i am very interested in your comment and must admit they do look a little unatural, this is one of the reasons i posted this bird.
thanks for looking

Everything looks fine with this shot to me; except that the bird is such a bizarre colour. It looks like a long tailed blue tit with the red and green channels deleted
I would imagine that this species would clash with most backgrounds. I can't see anything to fault in your picture, and I think this subject would be very hard to get a pleasing shot of, just because of its colour, so you have done well I'd say.

Stunning shot Keith - it's a beautiful bird.
I think we all get loads of looks and few comments - I understand there are lots of non UKNP members who looks at the site., at least that's what I tell myself!!

If it's crit you are looking for Keith there's not much to say - yes it's a bit central, but with that long tail sticking out there's not a lot you can do, except perhaps not be quite so close - image just needs a bit extra on the right to take the eye off the centerline - if you want super-picky crit that is.

What a superb little bird - wish our wrens looked like that  :wavey:

I know the feeling about comments and looking.  I don't normally photograph birds (I haven't the patience or inclination to sit in hides for hours on end.) but I know what I like and this is one image I do like. Very nice indeed.

I’ve got to say that when I first looked at this picture, I checked the date to make sure it wasn’t April the first. It looks for the entire world like a Blue Tit that has been fighting with a blue felt tip pen! Having said that it’s a charming shot of a delightful little bird.
