About half way between Delta and Grand Junction is a turnoff
to Bridgeport. It is one of the ways to access the Dominguez
Wilderness Study Area. There has been a swinging bridge over
the Gunnison River for many years, but public access was not
legal.
This summer, the BLM built a brand new foot and horse bridge
across the Gunnison River. It opens up the beautiful area of
Dominguez Canyon to public access. Until the new bridge, the
only legal access was to float the river.

Or to hike in from BLM lands above... Which I've done a couple times. It is a great location!

That's GREAT news! I've been to that bridge and contemplated either wading the river (no thanks, don't feel like dying today) or trespassing on the bridge (no thanks don't feel like gettin' SHOT today). I had heard they were going to do this, so I'm glad it's now a reality.
BTW Art, why do you upper-case your topic subject lines? In Internet speak that's the equivalent of shouting.
