Shooting mosaic'd panoromics opens up a lot of compositional possiblities that weren't possible w/o serious cropping and loss of resolution.

This image is approximately 6 portrait images worth of data... certainly enough to hold up to 36" wide printing.

Hi Christian,

This is marvelous! The panoramic presentation really does justice to the scene. I like the manner in which the main cloud has been positioned within the frame.

I have seen lots of panos and and while they are generally impressive they almost always seem to leave me disappointed w.r.t. to composition. This is one different in that regard. Well done.

Regards.

Thanks Anil... simplicity was the end goal here. Sometimes I have a tendency to get quite complex compositionally... what's presented here is an effort to take a step back.

Nice arrangement of clouds and great SoCal colors.
